  For matrix mode you need a computer or laptop with a HDMI output for each screen that you will connect to the matrix to be able to show a main screen and other information on other screens. So if you want to connect a pc and a laptop (2 inputs) to four screens (4 outputs) you need a 4*4 matrix and not a 2*4 matrix. That should be explained in more detail. On the other hand this is a matrix with a steel casing and looks very good, it works but in my-case only with two monitors in matrix mode. Duplication from one computer to 4 screens was without any problem and very easy.
